How to Reset Your Smartphone or Tablet's Network Connection

Before the Privacy Hero Adapter can protect a device, it must be moved from the Exposed Network to the Protected Network.  This is done by resetting the device’s network connection.

This article will be looking at how to reset the network connection for Smartphones and Tablets. Whether it be Android, iOS, or anything else, the process is quick and easy! Just find your device’s operating system below and follow the instructions.

Android

To reset your network connection, you will need to locate the setting to disable and enable your Wi-Fi. This can be done on most recent Android versions by following these steps:

Step 1
Locate and select Settings.  

Step 2
Select “Connections”.

Step 3
Turn Wi-Fi slider off, and then on.


iOS

To reset your network connection, you will need to locate the setting to disable and enable your Wi-Fi. This can be done on most recent iOS versions by these steps:

Step 1:
Locate and select “Settings”.

Step 2:
Select “Wi-Fi”

Step 3:
Turn Wi-Fi slider off, and then on.


Other

To reset your network connection, you will need to locate the setting to disable and enable your Wi-Fi. If you cannot locate this setting easily, you can also fully power cycle your smartphone or tablet (turn device off and on) to reset your network connection.
